Michelle White Dip CBH, REBHP, GHR
I am trained as a Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist integrating hypnosis with CBT techniques (Hypno-CBT®).
I have a Diploma in Psychodynamic counselling and have a keen interest in how our thoughts and behaviours are connected, through seeing clients I have experienced how changing our thoughts and behaviour can change our lives dramatically.
The Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH) Diploma is the only Diploma approved by The British Psychological Society Learning Centre.
The diploma is independently awarded and externally verified by NCFE, a national awarding body who are regulated by OfQual.
The diploma is classed by NCFE as a Level 4 (equivalent to Level 4 on the National Qualifications Framework).
The theories are are all Evidence based, this is a major bonus for me, to be able to say to my clients there is research that shows the techniques that I am teaching you have been proven to be effective, this gives me the confidence that I can really help clients with their issues.
I worked for East of England Ambulance service for 18 months until an injury forced me to leave the service.
I have frontline experience and am aware of the stresses and anxieties that the emergency services endure, my understanding of the stress experienced by the ambulance service personnel as well as other emergency service personnel gives me a unique insight into how to help treat difficult issues that you may have experienced.
I have found hypnotherapy and relaxation techniques effective and I will show you how to build and manage your stress resilience skills.
I believe that the work that the emergency services personnel undertake is undervalued and that is why to show appreciation I am offering a 20% discount of my fees to those who work in the emergency services.
I have been working with clients in different capacities for over 10 years, and specialise in anxiety and stress resilience management, Hypnosis and cognitive behavioural techniques gives me the ability to help clients move into a more positive frame of mind and have a sense of greater control over their lives in a relatively short duration of time.
Integrated into my training is the use of mindfulness and Self-awareness Exercises (from Gestalt Therapy/Mindfulness-based CBT) Helping clients become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, sensations and behaviour.
I am a member of both the Register of Evidence Based Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy (REBHP) and General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR)
